This is one of the questions we are researching at CODEC about Bible engagement in the digital age. As it happens, we will be releasing similar research in the coming months on Bible engagement among British ‘digital millennials’—based on data we gathered and analysed from a national survey completed in partnership with Bible Society.
One question which is still difficult to answer from a research standpoint is the relationship between Bible format (print, desktop, mobile device, etc.) and Bible translation use. This came up recently when I learned from a neighbour that she regular reads the Geneva Bible on her phone during church—something she agreed was far less likely to do without the smart device.
